The Wylex NHXB Miniature Circuit Breakers MCBs detect overcurrents due to both overload and fault currents. The NHXB range are Type B breakers, this means they will trip between 3 and 5 time full load current which is suitable for most domestic installations. The MCB will operate and interrupt the supply to prevent damage to the installation.
DIN rail mounted, the Wylex NHXB Domestic MCBs have a short circuit breaking capacity of 6kA. The current carrying capacity of the cable should always exceed the current rating of the MCB to prevent damage.
The MCBs have a positive indication for On or Off. The operating dolly may be locked in either the ON or OFF position without affecting the ability of the trip mechanism to operate.
