Background:

Lightsave began in May 1992 initially dealing with the supply of light bulbs, lamps and a few other products of that nature.

Lightsave is an independent electrical wholesaler carrying a vast amount of stock. We have our own delivery network to ensure we deliver promptly and offer the best possible service. In 2002 Lightsave purchased another company which has an electrical and water heating background which has expanded its product range and collective knowledge.

This placement is a perfect opportunity for the student to obtain some vital experience in a competitive industry supplying a range of customers from the hospitality industry to everyday B to C and online consumers. You must be a real team player as you will be part of a well driven team who go the extra mile, not only for our customers but also their colleagues.


Role: 

Business Development Executive

Based at the Lightsave premises (121 Loverock Road, Reading, RG30 1DZ).

Taking inbound calls to process customer orders

Making outbound calls to arrange supply of products

Managing the existing websites (www.lightsave.co.uk & www.heatraesadiaukspares.com)

Helping resolve any customer enquiries

Assisting with face-to-face sales over the counter

Logistical arrangements



Skills Required:

Excellent communicator

Excellent Interpersonal skills

Previous customer interaction roles is preferred although full training will be given to the right candidate

Strong ability to support customers in choosing the correct product as well as additional products which maybe of use

Knowledge of the lighting industry is preferable but by no means essential

IT Skills (competent using Outlook, Word, Excel, Web browsers and preferably come familiarity with CRM systems) though training will be supplied where required.

Self motivated, hard working and well driven

A proactive attitude to continuous improvement of processes and methods of working

Working hours

Mon – Fri: 8.00am – 5.30pm (1 hour lunch break)


Salary

Circa £16k varies depending on experience, with 20 days paid holiday, health cover and pension after qualifying period.
