The Knightsbridge BT14ACTEMS LED bulkhead combines efficient general lighting, automatic motion detection and three-hour emergency illumination in one versatile fitting. Its IP65 polycarbonate construction is suitable for wall or ceiling mounting in domestic, commercial and communal environments.

The integrated 14W LED produces up to 1,260 lumens, while selectable colour temperature settings allow the light appearance to be changed between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 5700K daylight white.

An adjustable microwave sensor detects movement and switches the light automatically. Detection range, ambient light threshold and hold time can be configured to suit the location, helping avoid unnecessary operation when an area is unoccupied.

Three-Hour Emergency Lighting

The integrated emergency function provides up to three hours of backup illumination following a mains power failure. With an emergency output of 180 lumens, the fitting helps maintain visibility along escape routes, corridors, stairwells and communal areas.

The bulkhead supports maintained, non-maintained and switched emergency configurations, providing flexibility for different lighting schemes:

• Maintained: operates during normal conditions and remains illuminated at its emergency output if the mains supply fails
• Non-maintained: activates only when mains power is lost
• Switched maintained: permits normal operation to be controlled while retaining the emergency function

Adjustable Microwave Sensor

The built-in microwave sensor offers adjustable detection, lux and hold-time settings. This allows the installer to tailor when the light activates, the period it remains illuminated and the ambient light level at which motion detection becomes active.

A slave live terminal also allows additional compatible non-sensor luminaires to operate alongside the sensor-controlled bulkhead, helping provide coordinated lighting across larger areas.

Selectable Colour Temperature

• 3000K warm white: 1,130 lumens for comfortable domestic and hospitality interiors
• 4000K neutral white: 1,260 lumens for corridors, entrances and general commercial lighting

Indoor and Outdoor Installation

The durable polycarbonate housing has an IP65 rating, providing protection against dust and water jets. This makes the bulkhead suitable for indoor and outdoor locations, including communal entrances, covered walkways, stairwells, corridors, utility areas and external walls.

A hinged LED gear tray and push-fit terminal block provide convenient access during installation. The low-profile white housing and opal diffuser create a practical finish with wide, evenly distributed illumination.
