Osram Decostar 51 20W MR16 Halogen Spotlight – 10° Beam

The Osram Decostar 51 20W MR16 is a high-performance low-voltage halogen reflector lamp designed for precise accent and display lighting. Its concentrated 10° spot beam directs light onto a small, clearly defined area, making it ideal for highlighting individual objects, merchandise, artwork and architectural features.

Operating at 12V, the lamp has a standard GU5.3 two-pin cap and compact 51mm MR16 reflector. Osram’s IRC energy-saving halogen technology recycles heat within the lamp, helping it produce a strong, controlled light output while using 20W.

The lamp provides approximately 380 lumens of warm white 3000K light. Halogen technology also offers excellent colour rendering, allowing colours, materials and surface finishes to appear natural and vibrant.

With an average rated life of approximately 5,000 hours, the Decostar 51 ECO/PRO offers a considerably longer service life than many conventional MR16 halogen lamps. It is particularly valuable as a direct replacement in existing fittings where the original beam, colour and dimming performance need to be maintained.

Important compatibility information

This is a 12V low-voltage halogen lamp and requires a compatible transformer. It must not be connected directly to a 230V mains supply.

The 10° beam angle is significantly narrower than the 24°, 36° and 60° Decostar versions. Although these lamps use the same GU5.3 cap, they produce very different light distributions. Please check the beam angle marked on your existing lamp before ordering.

Switch off the power and allow the existing lamp to cool completely before replacement. Avoid touching the new halogen lamp with bare fingers, as oils transferred to the lamp may shorten its operating life.
