Product Description

Knightsbridge TE1 Two-Pole Voltage Tester

The Knightsbridge TE1 two-pole voltage tester is designed for electricians and electrical professionals carrying out voltage indication, polarity checks, continuity testing and phase-rotation testing. It covers a wide 12–690V AC/DC measurement range and displays results using both LED indicators and an LCD screen.

The tester carries safety ratings of CAT III 690V and CAT IV 600V, making it suitable for testing across a variety of low-voltage electrical installations when used within its stated limits.

A self-diagnostic test helps confirm the tester’s internal operation, while automatic power control and a built-in LED torch provide additional convenience when working in poorly illuminated areas.

LED and LCD Voltage Indication

The combination of stepped LED indicators and an LCD display provides clear voltage information across the 12–690V range. The tester can be used on both AC and DC systems and automatically powers on when a suitable voltage is detected.

Its two-pole format provides a direct connection between two test points and supports the recognised safe-isolation procedures used by electrical professionals.

Multiple Electrical Test Functions

The TE1 provides several commonly required test functions in one handheld instrument:

  • Voltage indication: checks AC or DC voltages between 12V and 690V
  • Polarity indication: identifies DC polarity
  • Continuity testing: checks whether a conductive path is complete
  • Phase-rotation testing: assists with checking the phase sequence of suitable three-phase systems

Built-In Self-Diagnostic Test

A self-diagnostic function allows the user to check the tester’s internal status. This provides a useful preliminary check before testing begins.

The instrument should still be used in accordance with the appropriate safe-isolation procedure, including proving the tester before and after use with an appropriate proving source where required.

IP64 Housing and Probe Protection

The durable polycarbonate housing carries an IP64 rating, providing protection against dust ingress and splashing water. Protective probe covers are included to help guard the test tips during storage and transportation.

A built-in LED torch helps illuminate conductors, terminals and distribution equipment in dark or restricted working areas.
